Off the northern tip of Sulawesi, few other places offer the plethora of macro species that Lembeh Straits does with such ease. A muck diver’s paradise, there are no spectacular walls of drop offs in Lembeh Straits.
Rather, sandy areas and small reefs give divers the chance to see critters and macro life such as the mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, harlequin shrimps and all sorts of nudibranchs. Ambon scorpionfish, snake eels, stonefish, sea robins, stargazers, devil fish, weedy scorpionfish, as well as pygmy and pegasus seahorses, mandarinfish, ghost pipefish and Banggai cardinalfish are also examples of the varied marine life that live in the waters of Lembeh Straits.
